San francisco spices 2

Excellent in every way. Server was very knowledgeable and the food was outstanding. Space was beautiful and comfortable. The food was what we won't go back for. First course and dessert were poor, main unimpressive and expensive. I could do that! We go out to dinner to enjoy a chef's creativity. Weirdly, the bread and an unexpected amuse bouche were delicious. Staff was kind and polite and reasonably attentive but confused about ingredients; 1st bottle of wine was corked, lots of small things that added to 'not going back'.

Palpably uncoordinated - a general sense that no one was sure who was doing what or where they were the poor bartender even served us our mains despite plenty of other staff on hand.

Lots to fix if they're to survive. We've eaten here before and didn't think they could do better but they did! The food was beautifully presented and the gnocchi was one of the best dishes I've ever had. The service was fantastic and the chef checked on all the tables.

Also, the cocktails change seasonally and are really good. Definitely take any suggestions offered by the staff! Service was extremely slow.

Wine selection was good but the food was a tad bit overpriced. Found it surprising that the non-veg and vegetarian dinner menus were the exact same price. We went to All Spice in San Francisco to celebrate a double wedding anniversary with close friends. We have been to the San Mateo location a few times before and enjoyed the food and service.

The ambiance of the San Francisco location is much better but with almost the same level of service and care Shoshana makes a significant difference where she is - the San Mateo location. We had multiple appetizers, main courses and one shared dessert. All cooked to perfection and served just right. We had champagne OK and a bottle of tempranillo outstanding and reasonably priced with our food.

Chef Sachin's cooking and plating are top class - comparable to any multi star Michelin restaurants. We'll certainly be back to celebrate future special occasions. Great food, poor service. Two of three dishes arrived cold, waiter inattentive, had to call over multiple times. After reading the reviews for this restaurant, I was beyond excited to enjoy a delicious meal for my birthday dinner.

Especially after seeing this restaurant on service lists of amazing restaurant to try. Unfortunately, the food was nothing close to what I expected especially for the prices they are charging. I ordered the sea bass for my entre and I had to send it back because I was unable to eat it. It had an overwhelming seaweed flavor that I don't think anyone could possibly enjoy. I will never eat here again and will not recommend this place to any of my friends. Really good food. We tried multiple plates and could not decide which was the best.

We had the trout and pork, highly recommend either or both! Superb restaurant, with delicious fare. The scallop ceviche was a bit too much on the spicy side, but the trout was superb absolutely delicious and the honey-glazed pork breast also got a rave review. Desserts were delicious as well, though odd that they don't offer decaf coffee drinks? But still a five-star experience! It was a good experience but felt a bit weird.

All the waiters were guys with scruffy beards which is not wrong but unusual. I loved the scallop dish and the pork belly. Was my wife's 50th we were celebrating and we had a good evening. I'd give it another chance. While I walked away feeling that All Spice deserved its newly earned Michelin star, I thought the most impressive part of my experience was the bar.

The bartender, Ryan, was a really friendly, knowledgeable and passionate guy who served up an amazing Sazerac flight. We sat at the bar for nearly an hour before actually going to our table for dinner. The tasting menu was excellent, with the giant scallop being my clear favorite. The wagyu ribeye steak was also quite satisfying, and served in a larger portion than all the other courses, which really helped fill us up. I was slightly disappointed by the dessert though, which seemed a bit heavy and the flavor didn't quite blow me away.

I would've give a 3 star but then again, this place just earned a Michelin star so my expectations were higher as was my food bill. Food was ok, scallops were good as was the salmon, everything else was just ok. I have been to plenty of Michelin star restaurants and so I am shocked this place made the cut.

On top of everything else, service was super slow, I consistently got my wine after my dish was served and eaten and I actually saw our server taste two of the wines I ordered before serving, very very odd!!!

Michelin disappointed me! Everything about the place is off. The ambiance is cozy, you feel like you are in someone's home which was nice. The food was also very disappointing. Having dined at Gary Danko, Benu, Mourad, Commonwealth we know a little about small portions that are a bit pricey.

Not worth it, plenty of other great restaurants to try. Amazing food. We shared the foie gras brulee and scallop ceviche appetizers followed by the lacquered duck and the whole trout. Each dish was unusual - great tastes and textures. I like duck crisper but my bf found it perfect. Cocktails were unusual - one winner. Despite the restaurant being half full on a Tuesday night we had to wait too long for cocktails and then for water refill.

Delicious food will bring us back. Awesome, really great food and atmosphere. In a non-descript location that's easy to miss. Found this restaurant odd - it was Halloween night so the face it was nearly empty could be explained I guess. But the food was just lacking And we did the tasting menu Won't be heading back anytime soon. This amount is subject to change until you make payment.
